Portraits Come Alive Tour – Slane Castle
Join us and meet the characters who shaped the Castles history!
Slane Castle has been the home of the Conyngham family since 1703. Steeped in history with the river Boyne flowing below it, Slane Castle is principally the work of three famous architects, James Wyatt, James Gandon & Francis Johnston.
Covering the family’s colourful history and paintings, journey throughout the castle as these paintings come alive to give you a flavour of their life in the 1800’s. From Royalty, Romance, Conflict and Chambermaids, each has their own story to tell.
