“Heritage at the Heart of the Boyne Valley”

The Boyne Valley is famous for the wonderful horses it produces. so where else would you go to the races.

There is plenty of choice. National Hunt and Flat racing are regularly held at Fairyhouse (home of the Irish Grand National) and Bellewstown (for over 300yrs). Navan racecourseis one of the finest possible tests for National Hunt horses. Laytown Races is a unique event where the horses race on the beach.

Dowth Point to Point Racing near Slane.

Dowth Hall hosted racing as early as the 1700’s. Reinstating this proud tradition in 2015, Devenish took the opportunity to partner with the Meath & Tara Committee to host the Autumn Point-to-Point at Dowth. It was a special occasion for all concerned, and the first time that Dowth had been open to the public in many years. The return of racing to the ‘Old Racecourse’ restores the sporting heritage as part of the wider estate restoration project.
